Thanks to Fertility Planit for sponsoring this post and giving me a Clearblue® Fertility Monitor. While I have received compensation for this post, all opinions are my own.
It’s been a little over a month now that we started our journey with the Clearblue® Fertility Monitor that was graciously gifted to us by Fertility Planit.
As someone who has been irregular for a long time, I really appreciate how the monitor helps take the guesswork out of TTC.
My experience using the monitor has been very easy. I am not a whiz at technology by any means, and I hate setting things up. I always let my husband do that stuff, even things like connecting the printer to the computer, just because it stresses me out, and he actually enjoys it. So when I saw that I was going to have to program the monitor, I was actually a little bit nervous. But it turns out that it was super simple!
I am happy to report that I didn’t even need to refer to the instructions because the monitor walks you step by step. Setting up the monitor probably took only a few minutes at most and it was super simple. I feel like if I can do it, anybody can.
I have been tracking data now and the good thing is I now have a report that I can share with my doctor. How many times has your doctor asked about cycles and length and you’re always trying to guess? With the monitor, I can keep track of the important information and verbally communicate it to my doctor with the knowledge that there is absolutely no guesswork.
The monitor is such a good tool in helping to relay this important information without mixing up dates or worrying that you miscalculated the length of your cycle. I like to think of the monitor as a journal about our TTC journey. When we finally do conceive, it will be this instrument that we will look back on fondly and think “look how far we’ve come!”
Now that we feel we are equipped with the right equipment to help us on our TTC journey, we are both feeling very excited and hopeful.
I can’t tell you how much stress this monitor has lifted off my back. It is much easier to use this tool than trying to keep track of my temperature or guess whether my cycle will land between 36 or 62 days (yes, those have been actual lengths of my cycles!).
If anything, I feel like this monitor has now given us back some control on our TTC journey, and for that, I find it incredibly worth it.
